Current News:

WEAR RED THIS SUNDAY! – Sunday is Pentecost – the celebration of the gift of the Holy Spirit.  Again this year, we will have members and visitors who are able to speak other languages participate in the service. This year will be like last year, where everyone will read the same Reading from Acts simultaneously (Acts 2:1-21).  How exciting and confusing it will sound as it did on that first Pentecost! THE COLOR OF THE DAY IS RED!

AFFIRMATION OF BAPTISM – On Sunday, June 9, Malcolm Lopez will affirm his baptismal vows in the rite of confirmation and become an adult member of Lord of Life Lutheran Church. All members of LOLLC are encouraged to be present to officially receive this young adult and celebrate this milestone in his life. Please lift him up in your prayers.

LAST SUNDAY OF FAN DRIVE! – FAMILY ELDERCARE SUMMER OF SERVICE – MAY/JUNE DONATION DRIVE – NEW 20″ box fans, 16” pedestal fans or 12″ oscillating fans. Benefits those with little or no access to AC this summer. Donate thru June 9th – let’s help keep our neighbors cool (and fight heat stroke) this summer. New fans only please. Contact Evangelism & Outreach.

SPONSORED FAMILIES “BACK TO SCHOOL” SUMMER OF SERVICE – JUNE/JULY DONATION DRIVE – Lord of Life continues its Summer of Service drive by sponsoring the Lord of Life Angel Tree families (13 students) for school supplies – but now with gift cards. This allows for more freedom for the families. The students can choose their own colors/styles for supplies, backpacks and shoes. The goal is 52 gift cards! Donate gift cards ($25 each) for HEB, Target & Walmart. Donation drive runs June 9th thru July. Please drop gift cards in the offering plate or give to an Evangelism & Outreach representative (Felicia Wachsmann, Jacque Wachsmann, or Dick Fink).
