KINDRED SISTERS – OUTING Time for Kindred Sisters on Tuesday, May 7thMeet at church at 9:30 am … leave by 9:40 am.  We will car pool to Georgetown, docent tour of the Williamson Museum, stroll up while enjoying the view of Georgetown Square to Greenhouse for lunch.  Walking shoes a must, especially in the SQUARE.   MUST RSVP by Sunday, May 5th to Glenace Klinker  gsklinker@gmail.com or 512-626-5048 for carpool space and luncheon reservation.

TELLERS NEEDED – We are in need more volunteers for tellers. Responsibilities include counting money after late service and special events. Each team of two people counts for a month, once per quarter. If interested, please contact Dick Fink at DFink@appliednanotech.net.

BBQ & BAKE SALE – Lord of Life’s annual BBQ & Bake Sale that we hold in conjunction with the Davis Spring Garage Sales is set for May 18th.  In order for us to make this event successful, Dick Fink is looking for volunteers.  Sign-up sheets are in the Welcome Center for donations of briskets, sausages, chickens, baked goods, drinks, chips, veggies and volunteering!  We would also accept cash donations to help purchase briskets and other items.  All donated items should be brought to the church by Friday, May 17th.  Dick Fink is also looking for a small focus group to help organize the BBQ. John Duarte, Nell Pennington and Rea Wiruscheske will be organizing the Bake Sale.  Net proceeds will be divided between LOLLC and Texas Ramps Projects.

Get your child registered soon, as the spots are filling fast (VBS Pre-K Class is FULL)!!!

VBS & DAY CAMP VOLUNTEERS NEEDED!! – VBS and Day Camp are two important ministries of our church. We need your help to make these ministries happen! This year VBS will run 6/24 to 6/28 from 9 to 12. Day Camp will run 7/8 to 7/12 from 9 to 3:30. COMMUNITY GARDEN – ONLY TWO BEDS LEFT!! – Spring has sprung, and we still have 2 community garden beds that are open and waiting for those with the green thumb to select their garden bed and begin planting their gardens. BAD FAITH: THE DANGER OF RELIGIOUS EXTREMISM by Dr. Neil Kressel

This is the first book to journey to the heart of religious militancy. He offers a clear and enlightening analysis of when and how religions become capable of inspiring evil. Join us in the café.

WOMEN’S STUDY will continue with the book, 31 VERSES, in the office conference room.

TUESDAY NIGHT BIBLE STUDY – Bible Study on the book of Mark, continues on Tuesdays from 6:30-8:00 p.m. in the Café.
