LENTEN DISCIPLINE – WORKS OF LOVE – Where do you see God at work in your community, changing the story for neighbors in need? How can, or do, you participate in God’s work in the world around you?

LENTEN FOLDERS – Don’t forget to turn in your filled Lenten folders this Sunday.

EASTER BRUNCH SERVERS NEEDED – The Evangelism & Outreach team is putting together this year’s Easter Brunch. Breakfast servers are needed that morning starting at 8:45 am. Contact Denise Sheehan if you can give an hour or two on Easter or bake a casserole.


Maundy Thursday will be celebrated on April 18 with a regular service at 11:30 AM and a Seder Meal at 6:30 PM.  A full dinner will be provided after the Seder Meal.  Holy Communion will be celebrated at both services.

Good Friday services will be held on April 19th at 11:30 AM and 7 PM.  Both services will be a Tenebrae service (a service of darkness).

Easter Sunday is on April 21st.  A sunrise service will be held at 6:30 AM. Other services will be at 8:15 AM and 10:45 AM.  Easter brunch at 9am, and egg hunt starts at 9:30am. Please join us as we celebrate the joy of Jesus’ resurrection!

BBQ & BAKE SALE – Dust off our smokers!!  Sharpen the knifes!!  Find your favorite baking sheets and warm-up the ovens!!  Lord of Life’s annual BBQ & Bake Sale that we hold in conjunction with the Davis Spring Garage Sales is set for May 18.  For us to make this event successful, Dick Fink is looking for volunteers.  Watch for sign-up sheets in the Welcome Center for donations of briskets, sausages, baked goods, drinks, chips, veggies and volunteering!  We would also accept cash donations to help purchase briskets, sausages and other items.  Dick Fink is also looking for a small focus group to help organize the BBQ. John Duarte, Nell Pennington and Rea Wiruscheske will be organizing the Bake Sale.

MISSIONAL RIVER SUMMARY OF SURVEY DISCUSSION FORUM – The Missional River Listening Team will be hosting a discussion forum in the cafe on April 28 after late service. Please join us as we discuss what we saw in the survey. For questions contact Randi Ladolcetta.

TEXAS RAMPS – The wheelchair ramp build that was rained out on April 6 has been rescheduled for Saturday morning, April 27, starting at 8am, at 4803 Munson St. 78721.  The Texas Ramps Project is a state-wide charity organization that helps volunteers build wheelchair ramps for low-income, disabled individuals. It’s easy work for a few hours that will make a tremendous positive change for an individual or family.  This is light construction work. We want you to contribute in whatever way you are comfortable. Your Project Manager and other experienced volunteers can help you learn new skills if you like.  Please bring gloves, eye protection (goggles or safety glasses), and ear protection (plugs or muffs). If you have a cordless drill, please bring it, but not required. Tools and materials will be provided.  Please contact Felicia Wachsmann or Dick Fink if you are interested.

COMMUNITY GARDEN – ONLY TWO BEDS LEFT!! – Spring has sprung, and we still have 2 community garden beds that are open and waiting for those with the green thumb to select their garden bed and begin planting their gardens. Four beds have been claimed (#1, #2, #4 & #5) First come, first served on the remaining beds. Contact the office if you are interested in claiming one of the garden beds.

VBS & DAY CAMP REGISTRATION IS OPEN! –  Go to the events page on the Lord of Life website to fill out the online registration form and pay via PayPal.  Registration forms are also available in the Welcome Center. Get your child registered soon, as the spots are filling fast (VBS Pre-K Class is FULL)!!!

VBS & DAY CAMP VOLUNTEERS NEEDED!! – VBS and Day Camp are two important ministries of our church. We need your help to make these ministries happen! This year VBS will run 6/24 to 6/28 from 9 to 12. WOMEN’S STUDY will continue with the book, 31 VERSES, in the office conference room.

TUESDAY NIGHT BIBLE STUDY – Bible Study on the book of Mark, continues on Tuesdays from 6:30-8:00 p.m. in the Café.

THURSDAY MORNING STUDY GROUP – This group meets on Thursdays at 9:45 am in the Lakeline Target snack bar. The study is about Esther. Contact: Marge Kretschmar,, for more information.
