LAKELINE BLVD ROAD CLOSURE – Traffic note: Lakeline Blvd. will be closed between Lyndhurst/Staked Plains (by Capitol Metro train station) and Parmer Lane from March 18 – April 5. Please plan an alternate route to church if you take Lakeline from 183 to Neenah Ave.

CHRIST IN OUR HOME – The 2nd Quarter (April – June) Christ in Our Home daily devotional booklets are available in the Welcome Center in both regular and large print sizes.  Pick up your copy before they are gone!

COMMUNITY GARDEN – Spring has sprung, and the community garden beds are open and waiting for those with the green thumb to select their garden bed and begin planting their gardens. First come, first served. Contact the office if you are interested in claiming one of the garden beds.

MISSIONAL RIVER FOCUS GROUP AGES 18-45 – The Missional River Listening Team has been gathering feedback from the congregation. After reviewing the responses from the survey, we will be hosting a Focus Group for those members ages 18-45 on March 24 after late service.  This will be a short 30-45 minute meeting to get your thoughts on some of the things we saw in the survey. Whether you filled out the survey or not, we hope to see you there so we can gather your input on where you see God moving Lord of Life in this neighborhood.

KINDRED SISTERS – Friends for Life in Christ” … Theme verse is John 15:15 … Bible Study presented by Marge Robison will be Tuesday, April 2, 2019 in LOLLC Café for Kindred Sisters.  Program begins at 10:30 am, but we always have coffee ready by 10:15 am. Bring:  1. Your Bible; 2. A Story about you and a Best Friend to share; 3.  Your Sack Lunch.  Our Monthly Hostess will provide our drinks and dessert.  Questions:  Glenace Klinker or 512-671-3690.

LENTEN DISCIPLINE – WORKS OF LOVE How might you, your family or your congregation show love of God and love of neighbor to others in your community this Lent?

LENTEN FOLDERS – Don’t forget to fill your Lenten folders with $0.25 per day during the season of Lent.

MID-WEEK LENTEN SERVICES – Mid-week Lenten services will continue on Wednesdays at 11:30 and 7:00 through April 10. We will celebrate Holy Communion at both services. Again this year, we will use services from “Holden Prayer Around the Cross.” These services include repetitive song, prayer, scripture, and time for quiet meditation and reflection. We hope you will be able to join us as we intentionally take the time to be still…and know God.

EASTER FLOWERS – Please help us beautify our sanctuary on Easter by purchasing an Easter plant (lilies or tulips).  Envelopes can be found in the Welcome Center.  If you would like to purchase a plant, please fill out the envelope and place in the offering plate or contact the church office.  The cost per plant is $10.00.  The plants are being purchased from BIG which is an innovative vocational community for adults with special needs.  The deadline to order is Palm Sunday, April 14th.  If you have any questions, please contact the church office or Diane Saegert (

HOLY WEEK – Seder Meal is Thursday, April 18th at 6:30 pm.  All are invited to attend this wonderful and participatory worship service and meal.  We ask for a $5.00 donation per person or $20.00 max per immediate family to help cover the cost of the meal. Please contact the church office to RSVP or use the Connection Card. Envelopes are available in the Welcome Center and can be placed in the offering plate.

TEXAS IMPACT – Have you felt frustrated with decisions made at the Texas Capitol? Do you want our state reps to know that we as Christians, Muslims and Jews are united in speaking up for the oppressed? Join our LOL group as we advocate with Texas Impact for InterFaith Lobby Day at the capitol Thursday, March 28th from 9:00-2:00. Check out the link. See Erica Smith for more info.

TEXAS RAMPS – Evangelism and Outreach are planning to build a wheelchair ramp on Saturday, April 6th, starting at 8 am, at 4803 Munson St. 78721.  The Texas Ramp Project is a state-wide charity organization that helps volunteers build wheelchair ramps for low-income, disabled individuals. It’s easy work for a few hours that will make a tremendous positive change for an individual or family.  This is light construction work. We want you to contribute in whatever way you are comfortable. Your Project Manager and other experienced volunteers can help you learn new skills if you like.  Please bring gloves, eye protection (goggles or safety glasses), and ear protection (plugs or muffs). If you have a cordless drill, please bring it, but not required. Tools and materials will be provided.  Please contact Felicia Wachsmann or Dick Fink if you are interested.

VBS & DAY CAMP REGISTRATION IS OPEN! –  Go to the events page on the Lord of Life website to fill out the online registration form and pay via PayPal.  Registration forms are also available in the Welcome Center. Get your child registered soon, as the spots are filling fast (VBS Pre-K Class is ALREADY HALF FULL)!!!

VBS & DAY CAMP VOLUNTEERS NEEDED!! – VBS and Day Camp are two important ministries of our church. We need your help to make these ministries happen! This year VBS will run 6/24 to 6/28 from 9 to 12.
