MEMORIAL ANNOUNCEMENT – A memorial service celebrating Kristi Guilbeaux’s life will be at 4:00 p.m., Monday, March 18th, 2019 at the Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Funeral Home, 14501 Interstate 35, Pflugerville, TX 78660.

LENTEN DISCIPLINE – WORKS OF LOVE  In the face of death, disease and poverty, God continues to bring new life and hope. How do you, your family and your congregation bear witness to courage and hope in an uncertain world?

MISSIONAL RIVER FOCUS GROUP AGES 18-45 – The Missional River Listening Team has been gathering feedback from the congregation. After reviewing the responses from the survey, we will be hosting a Focus Group for those members ages 18-45 on March 24 after late service.  This will be a short 30-45 minute meeting to get your thoughts on some of the things we saw in the survey. Whether you filled out the survey or not, we hope to see you there so we can gather your input on where you see God moving Lord of Life in this neighborhood.

LENTEN FOLDERS – Don’t forget to fill your Lenten folders with $0.25 per day during the season of Lent.

MID-WEEK LENTEN SERVICES – Mid-week Lenten services will continue on Wednesdays at 11:30 and 7:00 through April 10. We will celebrate Holy Communion at both services. Again this year, we will use services from “Holden Prayer Around the Cross.” These services include repetitive song, prayer, scripture, and time for quiet meditation and reflection. We hope you will be able to join us as we intentionally take the time to be still…and know God.

HOLY WEEK – Seder Meal is Thursday, April 18 @ 6:30pm.  All are invited to attend this wonderful and participatory worship service and meal.  We ask for a $5.00 donation per person or $20.00 max per immediate family to help cover the cost of the meal. Please contact the church office to RSVP or use the Connection Card. Envelopes are available in the Welcome Center and can be placed in the offering plate.

TEXAS IMPACT – Have you felt frustrated with decisions made at the Texas Capitol? Do you want our state reps to know that we as Christians, Muslims and Jews are united in speaking up for the oppressed? Join our LOL group as we advocate with Texas Impact for InterFaith Lobby Day at the capitol Thursday, March 28th from 9:00-2:00. Check out the link. www.texasimpact.org See Erica Smith for more info.

TEXAS RAMPS – Evangelism and Outreach are planning to build a wheelchair ramp on Saturday morning, April 6, starting at 8am.  The Texas Ramp Project is a state-wide charity organization that helps volunteers build wheelchair ramps for low-income disabled individuals. It’s easy work for a few hours that will make a tremendous positive change for an individual or family.  This is light construction work. We want you to contribute in whatever way you are comfortable. Your Project Manager and other experienced volunteers can help you learn new skills if you like.  Please bring gloves, eye protection (goggles or safety glasses), and ear protection (plugs or muffs). If you have a cordless drill, please bring it. Anything else you need will be provided.  Please contact Felicia Wachsmann or Dick Fink if you are interested.
